There are many influences affecting the US struggle with education, and it would be foolish for any one person to say they have the answer to the problem. I have read so many articles regarding this issue, my brain hurts, simply because there is no agreement on what is wrong and how to fix it. One article slams the teachers for being more concerned about themselves than the students, while another points at the parents for lack of involvement in their children’s learning: lack of government, too much government, weak curriculum, too aggressive curriculum, archaic teaching practices and the students are bored, classrooms are too modern and the children are overstimulated… the list goes on and on. Well, this page is going break it all down and detail many of the issues the US education system is facing, by analyzing the facts and statistics surrounding the issue and its contributing factors.
